State Sovereignty Is a Mandatory Passage to Economic Stability
The Lebanese Private Sector Network supports the decision of the Lebanese government declaring that the military and security activities of Hezbollah have become illegal, which consequently requires the immediate handover of its weapons to the Lebanese state.
The private sector is counting on this decision to rebuild the national economy under the state's absolute sovereignty over all Lebanese territories, from south of the Litani River to its north.
A lawful and formal economy cannot prosper under a parallel authority that threatens supply chains and undermines citizens’ security and overall stability. True sovereignty lies in rallying behind the constitutional authorities and their decisions, and in holding accountable those who violate them, in order to safeguard Lebanon as a state.
